About Me

I’m a 37 year old mother of one (three year old daughter Jordan), hoping for a number two some time in the future. I have been fortunate to find and marry my soul mate (Joe). We are a testimony that opposites attract. And that’s a great thing. We have two infamous pre-children children, Bailey and Deon our retired greyhounds. We live just outside Boulder Colorado with a fantastic view of one of God’s incredible creations … the Rocky Mountains. *smile*

We love all things outdoors. On the weekends (and sometimes during the week) you will find us hiking, biking, fishing, running, skiing, boarding, running the dogs at the dog park, playing frisbee, or just spending time soaking up God’s amazing creation. More on that in “my loves” posting. I’m a full-time working mom with a passion for all things geeky…computers, gadgets, and technology. Today I’m a security architect at IBM integrating a newly acquired managed security services company (www.iss.net). Lately I’ve been getting the entrepreneur bug in which I’m quenching through helping my sister start an invite company (www.hip2bthere.com) in our free time. I’m typically 90mph and most people know me as a freak for fitness, nutrition, and natural health.

As I get older more and more of my time is spent with the people I love doing the things I crave. That leads me to my motivation for this blog and the true love of my life, my savior Jesus Christ. This blog will provide me rambling room as I experience his love up close during my journey through the valleys to the mountain top. Even though I seek the mountain top like most, I’ve grown to realize the blessing of the valleys with Him beside me. Life gains incredible clarity, I have distinct purpose, my days seem more fulfilling, and somehow more effortless.
